Position Summary

NYX, Los Angeles Inc., a rapidly growing international cosmetics company in the LA area is seeking to hire a Senior Inventory Planning Manager. The position will manage our inventory planning process for our domestic and international distribution centers to ensure appropriate products are in the right distribution center. Overall, the individual will oversee our inventory planning process and directly manage inventory levels to service customer needs at all times while developing and implementing forecasting processes to eliminate stock outs and minimize inventory investment.  

Essential Responsibilities

Manage our inventory planning process and provide direction to purchasing on material requirements
Oversee and direct the processes and maintenance of inventory systems/audits and management systems such as cycle counts, inventory control practices etc.
Manage the movement of inventory in order to improve inventory turns and forecast demands
Manage inventory models to insure that appropriate SKUs are in the designated distribution centers and ensure appropriate inventory levels at all times
Replenish inventory as required from contract manufactures to meet customer demands while optimizing costs and minimizing stock outs
Provide appropriate recommendations regarding excess and obsolete inventory 
Establish, maintain and assess inventory turn and service level goals as well as other KPI’s for warehouse operations 
Produce shipment, purchase and inventory reports and determine accuracy for weekly and monthly monitoring 
Analyze performance data to address issues and make recommendation to improve processes through research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge etc.
Collaborate with marketing, suppliers, product development, and purchasing in all areas relating to the product-to-market timeline
Communicate with senior management on a regular basis reporting on the state of inventory as well as future direction
Develop models and matrices to measure performance and inventory accuracy targets 

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field
10+ years experience in inventory replenishment in a multi-global distribution center environment 
10+ years experience managing inventory turn, service level expectations, forecasting and goal setting
Proficient use of an automated inventory management system (E.R.P) 
Microsoft, Great Plains experience is a plus
APIC’s certification is a plus
Strategic and results oriented 
Highly pro-active with the ability to work with tight deadlines
Ability to work in a very fast paced environment 
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have excellent organizational and managerial skills
