Position Summary

The Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for managing the development of social media content and developing ongoing social media campaigns ideas to elevate the NYX Cosmetics brand. The winning candidate will have a strong and intimate knowledge of the current social media landscape and have a passion for content development and writing. The candidate must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment be a self-starter and be team oriented. Ideal candidate must be very well-versed in the digital world – including familiarity with popular websites, blogs, social media environments, mobile/apps; as well as a strong knowledge of and interest in newly-emerging platforms and industry trends.


Essential Responsibilities

Working with Social Media team to provide support on all social media campaigns.  
Develop and execute social media campaigns in support of brand and marketing initiatives with Social Media team.
Work cross functionally with Marketing, PR, Creative and Social Media team to develop monthly conversation calendar for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram
Develop monthly social creative content brief and implementing with the assistance of internal team and agency partners
Strengthening NYX Cosmetic’s relationship with our current digital community and developing strategies to grow our social following while maintaining high levels of engagement
Utilizing social listening tools to understand current conversations about NYX Cosmetics and how it can create new social opportunities
Monitoring ongoing social and cultural conversation to identify and implement “real time” opportunities to amplify NYX Cosmetic’s voice
Responsible for weekly campaign status reports and buzz monitoring reports.
Conducting and compiling research about the social media space, as well as research related to the development and execution of specific campaigns
Ability to track online discussions and buzz surrounding campaigns – including various social media environments and online forums.
Research or media opportunities; including maintaining up-to-date resource and publication outlets lists 
Assist with managing key brand events and other responsibilities as they are assigned


Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university in Marketing, Communications, PR, and or Journalism.
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Social Media Marketing/Digital Marketing  
A self-starter mentality with a solid sense of judgment.
A skilled team player who can handle multiple tasks at once.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and extremely organized.
Adherent to deadlines and follow-through.
Creative thinker who can contribute ideas and collaborate on strategies for campaigns.
Experience and proven success working with various social media channels
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project management experience
Must be internet savvy and very comfortable using social media, social networking and social bookmarking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vine, Snapchat, and Google+
Excellent time management skills
Strong computer skills including proficiency in social media, Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic publishing (preferably Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) 
Fully immersed in all major social networks
Experience integrating social media efforts into broader media and marketing strategies
Experience writing and editing for social channels, and developing editorial calendars
Passion for harnessing the power of social media to drive business results
Active learner and forward thinker who excels at identifying evolving media trends 
Strong written and oral communications skills
Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced, collaborative environment
Is a flexible individual, creative thinker and problem solver, accustomed to working in teams
