Position Summary

NYX Cosmetics is currently looking to hire a Vice President of International Sales and Business Development to lead the growth and development of International business for NYX. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP of Sales and Business Development will manage all projects within International sales including ongoing management of new business development pipeline, establishment and execution of new revenue producing initiatives both in the US and Global markets, strategy development, new market launches, and among other functions, serve as a key member of the Executive team to set the Company’s strategic direction. The position manages all aspects of the business from local merchandising needs, brand positioning, trade marketing and new retail relationships. The ideal candidate is an outstanding, strategic, charismatic leader/executive, highly ambitious, articulate with entrepreneurial mindset and excellent ability to lead and motivate team members to drive maximum productivity and success. 

Essential Responsibilities 

Help define and execute strategy to drive business in profitable channels internationally by traveling to markets to understand local needs, identifying appropriate partners, developing business plan, negotiating and structuring agreements in retail placement. 
Serve as a key Executive member to set the Company’s strategic International growth while ensuring development initiatives and goals are consistent with the Company’s overall vision and strategy.
Collaborate with the Executive team to ensure market launches are effectively executed to support revenue and customer loyalty. 
Build sales development plans with distributors/partners and identify best methods to source and provide logistics for the business.
Maintain and report on a regular basis the sales pipeline and revenue forecast – conduct financial modeling and analysis to assess success of markets. 
Help in alerting CEO to diversion risk and suggest solutions to contain risk.
Develop new proposals including financial revenue stream and investments. 
Partner with the CEO, CFO and Senior VP of Sales to negotiate business terms until execution.
Recommend retail pricing and export pricing for all markets.
Manage P&L including Sales and Expenses for the business. 
Work with internal departments to create appropriate plan-o-grams and merchandizing options and promotional plans. 
Work with PR/Marketing to communicate to markets ideas to implement locally.
Work with internal teams on promotional PR tie-ins with film and fashion industry.
Work with Operations to better understand operating expenses across markets and help optimize budgets to build on processes to improve availability of inventory. 
Work with Regulatory to speed processing of regulatory requirements by country and report sales teams of export restrictions and duty structures to streamline delivery and minimize additional costs.
Establish relationships with external resources including international distributors, direct buyers and retailers.
Develop high performance sales and account management teams by providing, support, direction, guidance, solutions, leadership coaching etc. Serve as a key Role Model/Mentor to the International team.

Position Requirements

10 plus years progressive experience in International business development and sales including relevant experience in personal care required
Experience in beauty and fashion realm highly preferred
Demonstrated experience achieving sales goals and targets
High impact individual with excellent ability to drive business growth
Excellent ability to establish and execute business development strategies and goals
Comfortable working with ambiguity and proven ability to support new industry and new/emerging ideas
Passionate about beauty and fashion, creative and willing to take a risk 
Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure and able to manage multiple projects and priorities 
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent ability to develop and long-term relationships with external partners 
Charismatic, highly articulate, positive, and high-energy individual with the ability to mentor and serve as a role-model
Sense of urgency, persistence, creative and a take-charge positive attitude
Able to thrive in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business or related field
