Rated 2 out of 5 by Savvy13 from Disappointed NYX is my favorite drug store brand Bc it’s cheap with mostly great quality and it’s cruelty free. I read several reviews to find a good drugstore primer that would work for my combo skin. First time I used it, it felt like more of a Elmer’s glue texture compared to most primers. I purchased the blue color correcting primer and was very disappointed. It made my face feel extremely heavy and sticky. I would apply it as I would with any other primer, I kinda tapped it into my skin with my beauty blender. But as I would apply my foundation, it would streak pretty bad. I have a full coverage high end brand, light coverage high end brand, and drugstore medium coverage. Depending on which foundation I use I use a different applicator, a beauty blender or foundation brush. I wasn’t very please with any of my foundation with th primer. I really did try hard to like this product since I love NYX but this was definitely not my fave product of them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Crissy11 from Horrible It’s not orange and it’s a horrible water mess. It went on my face like chalk and made anything I put over it look awful. I had to wash my face and start over with something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KittyKate15 from The blue is a life-saver. I have been using this primer in the blue tone since last year. It does exactly what it says it will do, it takes the sallow, tired look of my pale, stressed-out skin & replaces it with a beautiful brightness. All of this & it doesn't break out my skin! This is the HG primer for me, I love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sonicisms from It is ok I have a tan complexion so I find the blending a little difficult. It does not match and blend perfectly and leaves it a little cakey residue. I just might not be using it correctly but I do want to try some other shades. Overall it is ok because it still provides some sort of coverage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LoHa from Great color correction! I bought this after reading a number of suggestions that orange would be a great color corrector for people of color; I've developed some darkness around the eyes and had been using a cream stick (Tan), but found that it was too obvious. This primer works WONDERS for me. I use it under my Matte But Not Flat powder foundation, and have a flawless appearance. My only wish would be that it would be ever so slightly thicker in formulation - it's a liquid, and it's pretty runny (to me); if it were slightly creamier would make it perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by the makeup lady from Love this product! I have been a makeup artist for 35 years & I love the Nyx products. This corrector is sheer, yet covers redness well & is a pleasure to use. It is ,as with all Nyx products, very affordable. A little goes a long way

Rated 5 out of 5 by AmandaT from My new holy grail product! I have naturally red cheeks and nose (thanks mom), so I've always had my eye out for a good product to reduce it. This primer literally vanishes the redness and returns me to my natural pale (again, thanks mom)! It looks REALLY green going on but blends in smooth and skin like. My skin looks so flawless after application that I just add setting powder and then go! I've had so many compliments on my "glowing skin" since wearing this. NYX just keeps making products that I love and rely on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jlauren from Like it I have been looking everywhere for a good primer that would help keep my makeup in place, smooth my skin a bit and help with the pinkness of my face. I have very fair, (I mean barely darker than paper) yellow undertoned skin. This primer helps balance out my skin tone very well, so much so that some days I'm fine with just wearing it and a slight dusting of powder. And as long as I don't use too much, it looks natural. Will be repurchasing!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MissOverTheMoon from Great for redness but iffy on mixed skin type With out green makeup I have old women asking me where I went during winter break because they think I'm sunburned in DECEMBER. This gave a LOVELY overall eveness. I still use the green concealer for tomato adjacent areas. The one negative. I can't use this every day or I can see my suffering abit. Meaning, during the day I get oily but the next morning VERY dry. I have what wants to be little breakout but never get big enough for me to think about it too long

Rated 5 out of 5 by Austin87 from Great color correcter I bought the green primer about 2 weeks ago. I am 48 years old and have started to get blotches of red on my cheeks. I have been through many primers that promise to even skin tone, but this actually did the trick. It does have a slight green hue, but it fades into a dewy look. It definitely toned the red. A little bit goes a long way. There is no smell to this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crafty from Does its job well! I bought this some time ago and finally had the chance to start using it. I was worried when other reviews mentioned that the green didn't blend well, but for me that isn't a problem. I get very very red cheeks, so having this strong green to counter it is wonderful. It does leave my skin a little paler and slightly discoloured from the green, but once I apply foundation (I use the HD line from BHCosmetics or Nyx's HD line) I found that it all blends together well and hides any redness allowing my skin tone to balance out without making me look like a little green person from outer space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Christiancbg from Absolutely The Best I bought this product in the peach shade to help my foundation have a litte more strength when it comes to beard shadow on days I'm feeling lazy. It does an absolutely amazing job both when I am fair and when I have a spray tan at looking natural and making any dark discoloration disappear !

Rated 4 out of 5 by KarenLannoye from GREAT PRODUCT I have really red skin on my cheeks and nose. I have tried green sticks or powder before but they didn't gave me enough coverage or my skin looked green and still red at the same time. This primer is really amazing, it makes my skin tone look way more even. I would recommend to not use a moisturizer under this primer because it could separate. It also does not feel heavy on the skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gracek from It completely hid my extreme dark circles. I was dying to get a color correcting concealer because concealer itself never gave complete coverage. and I've definitely failed several times on getting the perfect shade and formula for my skin type since it's so thin and it has more of black undertone other than purple or blue. And I just picked this up at Ulta without any expectation because I could not test it and other product that I tested on my hand seemed to be just whatever. then I tried this product itself then just boom my dark circles were all covered even without applying concealer. Ever since then, It has been my go-to for daily routine. Especially when you want to go for a no-make up look just apply a layer of this under your eyes. Gurl you are SO ready.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aprilann from awesome primer! i love my primer. it does exactly what it's supposed to do. it goes on evenly and it's not heavy at all. and it combats the redness on my skin! the only thing i would say is that it's really easy to leak because it's a loose liquid. 8/10 i would definitely recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elena M from My Essential Face Product I bought this primer in green because my skin tends to get ruddy. It works amazingly! I've been wearing it every single day since I got it and I'll definitely be using it for a long time in the future. This primer is very lightweight, and doesn't leaving a greasy film on the skin like others I've tried. Also, depending on how much is used, it can be layered up for even more color neutralization on areas that need it. It almost feels like a moisturizer! As for its ability to keep makeup in place, it's also a great option. My daily face makeup routine is usually to wear the primer by itself with some pressed powder, and I've found that the powder stays in place pretty much all day. So I definitely recommend this for people who prefer light coverage too.

What color would be good to cover dark circles under eyes on medium shallow skin
Hi there! Thank you for your interest in our product. We recommend going to your local NYX store and having a professional help you pick our the perfect shade! Thanks!

is the green one good for covering up acne?
Hi there! The Color Correcting Primer in green will help counteract any red pigmentation to provide a neutral effect. This may cover redness that is associated with acne, but we also suggest using a medium-full coverage foundation on top to completely cover. Hope this helps!

Can I use the pink one as a whole primer and not have to use a separate primer??
Hi Jeena! If you want to color correct and prep your entire complexion, this primer will get it all done. No need to reach for another tube! xoxo

I'm having a hard time to choose from this and the cc cream. Which one would you recommend? I need it for my dark circles.
Hi there! If you want to color correct specific areas of the face, like under your eyes, you might want to consider a concealer instead of a primer. Check out the Dark Circle Concealer, it has an orange base to counteract the blue tones of dark circles. xoxo

How is this different from the Studio Perfect Primer and the CC cream?
Hi there! They are all unique formulas. The Color Correcting Cream shades actually set to a sheer natural looking skin tone and aren't totally translucent. While the Studio Perfect Primer is more of a traditional primer, the Color Correcting Liquid Primer shades have soft pearl to them for a luminous finish. xoxo

What color do each of these correct?
Its frustrating that NYX didn't actually put what each color works for-the green is for redness, typically around the T zone-and green seems to work well for a variety of skin tones. The pink is for under eye circles on people with fair to light skin tones. The yellow is for medium to tan skin tones, and like Riley said, the peach is great for under eye circles on darker skin tones. I honestly don't know what the blue is for--blue typically counter acts red so I would say this is also for red blotches.

What color(s) would be best for African American skin tones?
I suggest the orange one. Jakie Aina on YouTube uses orange and she looks great. She has darker skin
