I have fair skin with neutral undertones, but certain foundations tend to look pink on me. I don't want anything that would darken my foundation. Can you help me select the best one to cancel out the pink undertone? Thanks!

Asked by: Cmren01
Hi there! Thank you for contacting NYX Cosmetics, we appreciate your interest in our products. Based on the information you've shared, we recommend trying the shade Luminous of the Pro Foundation Mixer Makeup. We also recommend checking out shade Porcelain of our Concealer Jar Makeup, that is used as a base to neutralize undertones before applying a foundation. You can locate the Concealer Jar here: http://tinyurl.com/y8bufhqx. We hope you find this information helpful!

I have a foundation that looks a little too orange what shade would help with neutralizing it

Asked by: LeeSalamander
Hi LeeSalamander! You may want to select a shade that has more cool undertones since an orange tone on the skin means that you are wearing something a bit too warm toned for your skin tone. You can also use a powder to help neutralize the tone! We recommend taking a look at the Stay mate Not Flat Powder: https://www.nyxcosmetics.com/stay-matte-but-not-flat-powder-foundation/NYX_002.html?cgid=powder

I have a foundation that is a touch too light for my skin causing the ashy look. I’m a light to medium shade with warm or yellow undertones. But i get red cheeks. What shade would I use to help this foundation not make me look ashy?

Asked by: Jane30
Hi Jane30! If your foundation is too cool toned for your skin type we recommend taking a look at our Burnt Orange Shade. This is a deeper color with some warmth added to it. We think that may work for you but it is very difficult to determine shade information over this kind of communication. We hope this has been helpful!

Would the white in this work for Halloween makeup? Like for a clown or does it have to be mixed?

Hi there! This formula can used with liquid foundation or on its own. However, it might be on the sheer side if you're creating a bold, Halloween-inspired look. You may want to try our SFX Crème Colour, which is specially designed for body art and special effects.

If I am a relatively pale person, will the warmth work to deepen the foundation minimally? I have paler foundations that I like but when it comes to summer I have to buy all new foundations.

Asked by: Ksmith4
Hi there! It depends on how much mixer you use. If you want to go up just a shade, then start with a drop to see if the color works for you. You also want to keep in mind what your skin tone and undertone are like when you're rocking a tan. Warmth is going to make your foundation deeper and warm up its undertone. If this doesn't match your summer tones, you might also want to take a look at Olive. xoxo

which one should I use to make a foundation darker warmth or olive?

Asked by: mariemal
If your foundation is lighter than both of these mixers , then they could both make it darker. The question is what effect you're going for. If you have a more yellow tone , warmth will make your foundation darker and add a more yellow undertone. If you are more of a neutral to olive tone, the olive mixer will make it darker and more neutral in undertone. Example: I have a neutral/ olive tone, and a lot Of drugstore foundation tends to be cool toned (pink), which looks horrible on my skin. If I add olive to it that will cancel out a lot of the pink undertone and make it more neutral. However, if my foundation is super dark and the olive mixer is lighter than my foundation it won't make it dark but it will still adjust the undertone to make it more neutral. Hope that helps :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price I bought the pure white mixer. It works really well at lightening my foundation because I can never seem to get a light enough shade. It doesn’t take a lot either (and I’m super pale). I will say, it is just a mixer (duh) so it doesn’t have really much coverage on its own or if you only use a tiny amount of foundation, just FYI.
