Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Essential Face Product I bought this primer in green because my skin tends to get ruddy. It works amazingly! I've been wearing it every single day since I got it and I'll definitely be using it for a long time in the future. This primer is very lightweight, and doesn't leaving a greasy film on the skin like others I've tried. Also, depending on how much is used, it can be layered up for even more color neutralization on areas that need it. It almost feels like a moisturizer! As for its ability to keep makeup in place, it's also a great option. My daily face makeup routine is usually to wear the primer by itself with some pressed powder, and I've found that the powder stays in place pretty much all day. So I definitely recommend this for people who prefer light coverage too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hidden gem! I originally bought the pink to use just under my eyes to add a bright base for my highlight. The primer that I usually use has been running low so I started using this as my full face primer and the results are fantastic! Especially considering how bright and dewy is in right now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from color correcting green primer i purchased this on a whim, my friend suggested it i used to use a different brand , ive been thru about 4 different brands and this green one made me never think twice about using anything else!! it makes my make up flawless and last longer. I do have a red tone to my face and with my make up on top eliminates all other colors and makes my face look air brushed!! If i am going out or to a event or want to look my best this is used first!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well I got this to cover up unwanted redness in my cheeks, so I have the green. It works quite well. I could tell a difference by just putting it on half of my face and comparing it where I didn't put the product. Its lightweight and smooth. I use a pretty good amount but I don't overdue it. Works well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced a MAC product with this I absolutely love this! I replaced my MAC color corrector with this product for half the cost and way more product! It lasts for a long time and makes my dark circles disappear completely!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great primer I recently brought the green shade. I found its a really great primer, it makes your makeup go on really smoothly, however I get very red cheeks very easily. I found that it didn't cover this very well, it did have some effect, but not as much as I'd hoped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very glad I bought this I've been using this (the green one) for about a week and wish I had ordered it sooner. I spent a good two weeks debating whether or not to get this product. I'm so glad I did! My skin type: it's on the lighter side (I'm definitely not pale, but I tend to use foundations that fall into the lighter category - at least in the winter/fall) and generally, it's relatively normal (the majority of my face is normal, not that oily, occasionally some dryness around/on my nose, no break outs); however, for the first time in my life (I'm in my early twenties) I've started having problems with my skin. About a month or so ago, I had a huge flare up of I'm not sure what (almost looked like mild rosacea), so I had a lot of redness. The redness was on my cheekbones, and I had some small red bumps on my cheekbones and below my eyes (they weren't pimples and would come and go), and some dryness under my eyes/high on my cheekbones and on the sides of my nose. It started calming down immediately after the flare and is MUCH better, but I still have some lingering redness. To combat that while I wait to get into the dermatologist, I ordered this because caking on full coverage foundation and concealer wasn't something that I was able to make look good (and I'm a more experienced make-up user), especially because I was also experiencing some dryness. I needed something lighter than a thick concealer that would cancel out the redness (and I even tried some different cream and liquid green color correcting concealers). I was skeptical of this product, but since the first time I used it, I've been in love. I actually use it all over my face, but I put on a little more product over the areas that are more red. I really like that it's not a super gel-like feeling like other primers (those have a tendency to make my makeup slip, they can feel too thick, and I feel like my makeup is caked on when I use them), but this product does still create a nice, smooth canvas. It's also thinner than those gel-like primers that have a tendency to feel too thick/heavy, which is something I like about it. Now, this is not a miracle product that immediately cancels out every last bit of redness and makes your skin look absolutely flawless. Obtaining an unrealistic standard such as that for a primer requires magic. HOWEVER, it does *drastically* reduce the redness (keep in mind that I'm having an unusual amount of redness on my cheekbones and around my nose and this is working a great deal for me). I've actually stopped using concealer on the redness and haven't needed to put multiple layers of foundation on just to hide it. Instead, I just use this primer, put foundation on top and maybe a tiny bit of concealer if I have any of the red dots/bumps in the area, and set it with the NYX color correcting yellow loose powder (which isn't a necessary step in concealing the redness...I use it simply because it brightens and sets my makeup in that area under my eyes/on top of my cheekbones). Bam, done. While every bit of the redness might not be completely cancelled out by this, any remaining redness definitely is gone once you put something like foundation on over it. For those that are concerned about it being green, once you rub this into your skin, the green isn't visible. Also, it has a brightening quality to it (for me, at least). It is NOT shiny, shimmery, or anything like that - it just seems to brighten up my skin. Also, this hasn't made my skin become oily at any point in the week that I've been wearing it. As far as its strength as a primer...I can't exactly speak to that because my makeup's staying power is already wonderful (as I said, I'm a more experienced makeup user, so my makeup pretty much doesn't budge because I'm a big believer in setting my makeup with powder. Until I started using this, I actually didn't use any primer). I can say that using this primer hasn't negatively affected my makeup in any way, though. Overall, I'm really impressed with this product. Experiencing some skin problems (specifically redness) for the first time in my life has actually been kind of hard for me, but this product has made my makeup routine a lot easier and my check-ups in the mirror throughout the day a lot more pleasant rather than horrifying as they have been this past month. I love this product, but I wonder if it would be even better in a thicker formula, and perhaps even in a more pigmented formula. Those aren't negatives, though! Get won't be sorry. I'll still be repurchasing this even after my current skin problem is sorted out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glad to have this in my arsenal Haven't had this product for long, but I'm happy with it so far. Bought this in the orange shade for my NC45/caramel skin. Apply it only to the places that need correcting and found it works great underneath my primer and foundation. I like how thin the formula is; it's great for under the eyes. And it doesn't make me oily or anything, which is a huge plus.

is the green one good for covering up acne?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi there! The Color Correcting Primer in green will help counteract any red pigmentation to provide a neutral effect. This may cover redness that is associated with acne, but we also suggest using a medium-full coverage foundation on top to completely cover. Hope this helps!

I'm having a hard time to choose from this and the cc cream. Which one would you recommend? I need it for my dark circles.

Asked by: SPAC
Hi there! If you want to color correct specific areas of the face, like under your eyes, you might want to consider a concealer instead of a primer. Check out the Dark Circle Concealer, it has an orange base to counteract the blue tones of dark circles. xoxo

How is this different from the Studio Perfect Primer and the CC cream?

Asked by: Puzzled
Hi there! They are all unique formulas. The Color Correcting Cream shades actually set to a sheer natural looking skin tone and aren't totally translucent. While the Studio Perfect Primer is more of a traditional primer, the Color Correcting Liquid Primer shades have soft pearl to them for a luminous finish. xoxo

What color do each of these correct?

Asked by: Confused
Its frustrating that NYX didn't actually put what each color works for-the green is for redness, typically around the T zone-and green seems to work well for a variety of skin tones. The pink is for under eye circles on people with fair to light skin tones. The yellow is for medium to tan skin tones, and like Riley said, the peach is great for under eye circles on darker skin tones. I honestly don't know what the blue is for--blue typically counter acts red so I would say this is also for red blotches.

I suggest the orange one. Jakie Aina on YouTube uses orange and she looks great. She has darker skin
