About the DJ

@djdiamondkuts

Philadelphia

The city of Philadelphia is known for producing tenacious personalities surrounded by a sea of (often brutally) honest fans. It’s also the birthplace of DJ turntablism. Naturally, coming up on the decks in Philly is no easy task. But that didn’t stop Tina Dunham, known to her fans and listeners as Diamond Kuts, from doing just that: she is the first and only female mixer to have a slot on Philly radio, and her mix show ratings have been higher than any DJ on any format on radio in the city since 2009.

Diamond Kuts made a name for herself dropping mixtapes in school and turned that into her growing radio, performance DJ and producer career. She was an official President Obama campaign DJ and performed on tours with Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and more. She’s appeared and worked for numerous tv networks and shows like MTV, BET, Good Morning America and more. Diamond, who is also a music producer, began her production journey by producing the chart-hitting Nicki Minaj club single “Stupid Hoe” along with an array of club remixes. Since then she’s had the pleasure of doing production work with Atlantic and Disney Records. She continues to be a bright beacon for women, and a proven tastemaker with a progressive ear, having discovered artists like Lil Uzi Vert before his rise to international fame.

It’s her passion for DJing and production, invigorated by newfound motherhood thanks to the birth of her son Aiden in 2015, that has Diamond Kuts’ heart set on sharing her story of feminine and tenacious Philly flavor with the world.
