Rated 5 out of 5 by from *HYDRATING* powder foundation! I adore this powder! Having dry skin and wanting medium coverage I use this pressed in to increase coverage and stay hydrated. If you dislike it because it is too shiny...please read the package! It is a hydrating powder foundation! Love it, so much less expensive than other brands but super high quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible for dry skin! This powder is so good for my dry skin. Almost so soft that it doesn't feel like most powders! My only complaint is, I bought the lightest shade, and it looks like my shade in the pan, but on my face its still just a bit too deep for my liking. Please make an even paler shade, for us pale skin girls! We need setting powder too :) (same goes for deep skin girls-- we need even more shade options). Despite being a bit too deep, I'm in love with this power's formula. Its the ONLY powder I've tried, that doesn't make my super dry skin look like a cracked, cakey desert. If you have dry skin, please try this out! You'll be glad you did :) If you're super pale like me though, choose the shade lighter than you think you need, because it looks darker once applied over foundation. This powder is great for setting foundation and concealer, because if you go in with a light application, it doesn't take away all of your skin's dewiness, but it somehow still sets it completely so it won't budge. Helps my concealer not crease, too. Please keep making this powder, NYX, but consider making another pale shade (basically true white would be good) and more deep shades :) This is one of my favorite NYX products, along with their Gotcha Covered Concealer, Butter Gloss, Taupe blush (used as a contour powder), Epic Ink Liquid Eyeliner, and Dewy setting spray.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I didn't even pay this for a Max Factor Pancake Now if you go on ebay Max Factor Pancake makeup is going for 100 bucks because it could be used wet or dry and that was the best makeup to be discontinued....How could you charge 20 dollars for this NYX? that's ridiculous, I would have rather bought something I knew I liked for 12 dollars or even 40 dollars??? When something is released that is "different" you need to build a liking for it and usually price alone scares people away from something they have no idea how to use? It's very cakey and uneven....I'm sad....I couldn't even find a youtube video to see what I was getting myself into....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh I didn't think that this powder foundation was very good. It made my face kinda cakey and all gross. And it didnt feel like a powder on my skin. It felt like it still needed another setting powder to set it. Not the best powder nyx. Also its like super expensive for a NYX item.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome coverage but fragile! I absolutely think this is worth the extra money. Coverage is amazing, not cakey at all. Smooth even application and feels like nothing on my face. I am upset that after a couple weeks my pan cracked and broke into a million peices. I don't travel with mine either so it wasn't getting dropped or bumped around. I'll try it once more to see if it's an isolated incident. This is the shade "natural ".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wet 'n dry powder This is a great wet 'n dry powder. Gives a nice finish either way, but I prefer to dampen the sponge before applying. This gives a nice, light and natural looking finish, like your skin but better. I've noticed the color goes on slightly darker when applied wet, so keep that in mind when choosing a color. Would not recommend as a setting powder for foundation as it could cake and I believe NYX has better options. The price is a bit expensive for a NYX product, but I do feel that it is a high quality powder that is worth $20.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Gorgeous Powder Foundation I use powder foundation on a daily basis as my skin doesn't do well with liquids. I use MAC studio fix powder foundation in C3 and find that my light (Spanish/ Mediteranian decent) complexion is very hard to match with powders. I decided to try NYC Hydra powder foundation to switch off from my MAC powder. I'm so glad it did! Pros: This powder goes on like silk and leaves a satin finish. It's full coverage and stays on all day. I use the color porcelain and feel that it has more yellow undertone than neutral tones. And is a perfect match. Only con is that the powder gets messy when swirling a powder brush and loses a lot of product. Overall I'm very happy with this product and hope it won't discontinue❤️

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has potential to be great 1. The lightest color is slightly dark on me. I bought the Porcelain color and I could use something a tad bit lighter. Hopefully NYX will create an "Alabaster" shade or something. 2. When I opened the compact, I noticed the powder wasn't sitting in the compact all the way. I lightly tried to move the powder and the entire pan broke. This powder is very flimsy. You might as well break it all down and use as a loose powder. 3. I liked the finish of the powder as it was very smooth, and I think it has potential to be a great addition to my routine once I find a way to work with it. TL;DR: The color is slightly dark for me. The powder is flimsy. I'll work with it.

How do you use powder foundation when it says you can use wet or dryx

Asked by: Adriana33
Hi Adriana! You can either use the foundation as like a dry powder foundation or you can damp the sponge with water and gently swirl it on the compact to pick up the product. Than apply to the face from the center outwards, being sure to blend seamlessly and evenly into the skin. We hope that this helps clarify any questions!

If my total drop control foundation shade is classic tan, what would my powder foundation shade be?

Asked by: AngelinaHI
Hi AngelinaHI! Our foundation shades do vary slightly between different product lines, but we would recommend the shades Honey or Caramel in the Hydra Touch Powder Foundation. Hope this helps!
