How Do You Apply Fake Lashes?
At NYX Professional Makeup, we’ve made it a point to ensure our false lashes are fuss-free and easy to apply. Before grabbing your adhesive liner, take the lashes out of the packaging and hold them just above your natural lashes. If the lash strip is longer than your natural eyelashes, you can use a pair of eyebrow scissors to trim them down to the right size.
Then, line your upper lash line with our Jumbo Lash! 2-in-1 Liner & Lash Adhesive. Allow the liner to dry for a moment (two to three seconds is ideal), then use your fingers, a pair of tweezers, or a lash applicator to lay the lash strip on top of the adhesive liner. We recommend starting in the center, then securing the inner and outer corners.
If you’re using traditional strip lashes that require glue, the process will be similar, except you’ll apply the glue to the lash strip itself (instead of your skin). Traditional lash glue may take a bit longer to dry, too—you want to wait until the glue is tacky before trying to apply your lashes. For the best results, we suggest reading the product packaging for detailed instructions.
How Should You Clean False Lashes?
Our lashes are reusable up to 15 times. To clean them between uses, fill a cup with micellar water (you’ll find ours here), then soak the lash strips in the solution for around ten minutes. Gently wipe them clean with a clean lip wand or dense makeup brush, then let them dry before your next use.
Should You Put Mascara On Fake Lashes?
Putting mascara on fake lashes isn’t necessary—and in some cases, it may even reduce the lifespan of your falsies. Instead, apply it before putting on your fake lashes. It’ll add length to your natural eyelashes while also helping them blend with the fake lash strip for a more natural look.
How Long Do Fake Lashes Last?
How long fake lashes last depend on a few factors, including how they’re applied and how well they’re cared for. At NYX Professional Makeup, our Jumbo Lash! Vegan False Lashes are designed for up to 12 hours of wear. They’re also reusable up to 15 times, provided you care for them properly. Be gentle when removing your lashes to help ensure you get the most mileage out of them.
How Do You Remove Fake Eyelashes?
Fake lashes are even easier to remove than they are to apply. You can just grab the strip (the closer to the base, the better) and gently peel to unstick it from your skin. Take care to pull slowly and gently, as yanking the lashes too hard can damage the lash strip or pull your skin. Then, use makeup remover to help dissolve any adhesive left behind on your skin.
